Summary
Chonluten is a short Khavinson-type peptide, and the available evidence is limited to a single in-vitro study rather than any human trial. In that study, Khavinson peptides inhibited LPS-stimulated expression of TNF and the pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-6 in terminally differentiated THP-1 monocyte/macrophage cells and reduced cell adhesion to activated endothelial cells, suggesting anti-inflammatory and TNF-tolerance-inducing activity in cell culture [1]. There are no randomized controlled trials, meta-analyses, or human interventional studies of administering Chonluten as a therapeutic, so any clinical benefit is entirely unproven and the evidence is preliminary and laboratory-only.
