Summary
Vilon (Lys-Glu) is a short synthetic dipeptide bioregulator studied primarily for anti-aging and gene-regulatory effects, but the provided evidence is almost entirely preclinical. In cultured lymphocytes from elderly donors, Vilon induced deheterochromatinization and reactivation of ribosomal genes [2], and DNA-microarray studies in mouse heart showed it altered expression of a subset of genes, alone or combined with Epithalon [3]. In aged rats, orally administered Vilon improved small-intestinal glucose and glycine transport characteristics [4]. None of the provided papers report human interventional randomized controlled trials of administering Vilon as a therapeutic, and one cited item is an unrelated bioinformatics network method that merely shares the acronym "ViLoN" [1]. The clinical evidence base in these sources is therefore minimal and the findings should be considered preliminary.
